Looking for a weekend escape?
Nestled in the mountains of Jackson Hole, The Lodge at Jackson Hole is the perfect place to retreat if you’re looking for a breath of fresh air and a mountain adventure.
It has been years since I’ve been to Jackson Hole, so this time I really wanted to do it right. When I realized that staying at The Lodge at Jackson Hole was an opportunity to be a few minutes from the iconic downtown scene that makes Jackson Hole so fun, I knew I needed to visit.
The Lodge at Jackson Hole Review
How to get to The Lodge at Jackson Hole
Jackson Hole is located near Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park and is very close to the border of Idaho. If you’re flying, there’s an airport in Jackson Hole (JAC) and depending on where you’re coming from, it can be a great option because it’s only 15 minutes to downtown. Just know it’s a smaller airport so can be a bit pricier. Other airport options are Salt Lake City (4.30-hour drive from Jackson) and Idaho Falls (1.45 hours from Jackson).
If you’re coming from Boise, ID, like me, the drive to Jackson Hole is about 5 hours 40 mins. Once you enter Jackson, The Lodge at Jackson Hole is just minutes from Jackson’s historic Town Square located on the main highway as you enter the town.

Lobby & Check-in
Upon entering the lobby of the Lodge, I knew immediately that this would be the perfect place for me to recharge and unwind for the weekend. Not only was I a big fan of the modern western decor in the lobby, but I loved the cute black bear statues all over the hotel. The huge elk antler chandelier and large fireplace made it a cozy place to hang out after a busy day exploring and the welcoming front desk attendants made me so excited to be in a mountain town on vacation! Let’s just say it was a welcoming entrance to my weekend away.

The Rooms at The Lodge at Jackson Hole
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. They had all of the standard, modern amenities like high-speed wifi, coffee maker, microwave, and fridge (big plus)! Our room also had a comfortable sofa seating area which was great for hanging out after a long day of hiking. The room had a rustic, cozy vibe that I was craving for a trip to Jackson.
I also could not believe how comfortable the beds were. These were no joke! Probably some of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept stayed in and that is saying a lot!

Grounds & Amenities
This is the most time I’ve spent at a pool on vacation in a long time. I loved lounging on the deck near the indoor-outdoor pool and the two hot tubs! I especially loved the hot tub soaks after a long hike in the Tetons. Also, if you’re one of those people that work out in the gym during vacation (sorry I’m not) they have a full gym as well.
If you’re traveling during the winter for ski season, they have a full-service ski rental shop and storage area along with a fireside lounge and full bar for apres ski or cocktail after a long day! The resort fee also includes a full breakfast buffet each morning.
Another perk that I was impressed with was the in-town courtesy car! You can get a ride to the main square or a ride back to the hotel for free from the hotel which I thought would be a great option if you don’t feel like driving after a night out or long day adventuring.
They also have spa treatments if you’d like a massage after an active day!

The On-Premise Restaurant
Every day at The Lodge you’ll find a full American breakfast served. You can also purchase a box lunch at the front desk to enjoy as you adventure into the valley. Once you return from your day of exploring, you can come back for a fireside dinner and enjoy the full-bar to sip on your favorite cocktails as the day winds down. There was limited service while we were here during the pandemic, but we still got to get some light appetizers and drinks while watching the game and it was great!

Price
Room rates fluctuate depending on what time of year it is, but I recommend checking out The Lodge at Jackson Hole website to see prices when you’re planning on visiting.

In the Area
There are plenty of ways to experience the Jackson Hole area during your stay. Some of my favorite things to do include:
- Take a photo at the famous antler arches at Jackson Town Square
- Spend a day at the Grand Teton National Park and hike Jenny Lake
- Have brunch at Persephone Bakery or grab bagels at Pearl Street Bagels
- Walk around Teton Village or go skiing here in the winter
- Go brewery hopping to Snake River Brewing and Melvin Brewing

A huge thank you to The Lodge at Jackson Hole for hosting me for 2-nights and for providing a wonderful stay in Jackson Hole! As always, all opinions are my own and I will never promote something I don’t personally use and believe in, regardless of who foots the bill.
