Sailing on the San Francisco Bay
Sailing on the San Francisco Bay has been on my bucket list FOREVER! Probably 5 years since living in San Francisco! I’ve taken my manager’s speed boat out under the Golden Gate Bridge and have seen dolphins right by the Golden Gate Bridge (sooo cool btw), but never taken a sailboat out.
One day my friend Bryan told me his dad had a boat and could take us out one weekend as a birthday present for me. First of all, I couldn’t believe he hadn’t told me this before that his dad had a boat, but whatever ;)…it was a perfect birthday present and right before I left for my trip Around the World. The weather in San Francisco is pretty hit or miss. But this weekend we went in July was WONDERFUL!
We took the Luna Sea boat out with Captain Dan and had an absolute blast.
If you’re looking to book a boat, this would be my top pick! We had a blast with him! We drank a bunch of mimosas and beer and enjoyed a great day on the bay.
He took us over to McCovey Cove by the Giant’s stadium, under the Bay Bridge, by the Ferry Building and over by Angel Island with views of Sausalito and Tiburon.
If you have sailing on the bay on your bucket list or just want to do it while visiting San Francisco, I highly, highly recommend it! It’s also a perfect idea for a small birthday party on a nice day!
