Looking for a unique place to stay near McCall, Idaho? What if I told you there was a mountain retreat with THREE private natural hot springs, and you could have one all to yourself?!
I recently spent a few days at Hot Springs At Goose Creek Retreat, a gorgeous property tucked away in the Idaho mountains between McCall and New Meadows, and I have to say, this might be one of my favorite unique stays in Idaho!
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I LOVE finding unique accommodations, especially ones with hot springs. So when I heard about a property with three separate vacation rentals, each with its very own private natural hot spring, I knew I had to check it out.
I booked myself a little solo getaway, and it was exactly what I needed. Sitting in a hot spring in the middle of the woods with no schedule and nowhere to be was pretty fabulous.
Whether you’re planning a romantic couples getaway, a girls’ weekend, a family vacation, or even a wellness retreat, this place is definitely one to add to your Idaho bucket list!

Where Is Hot Springs At Goose Creek Retreat?
Hot Springs At Goose Creek Retreat is about two hours from Boise, making it an easy weekend getaway if you’re looking to escape the city for a few days.
The property sits between McCall and New Meadows, about 9 miles from downtown McCall and just 2 miles from the turnoff to Brundage Mountain Resort. It’s a pretty ideal location because you get the feeling of being completely surrounded by nature while still being close enough to enjoy everything McCall has to offer.
The retreat is on 10 acres of forested land with about a quarter mile of frontage along Goose Creek. There are trees everywhere, mountain views, places to explore, and the sound of the creek running nearby. It’s one of those places where you pull up and immediately feel like you can relax.

Three Vacation Rentals, Three Private Natural Hot Springs!
Okay, let’s talk about the main reason you’re probably here.
THE HOT SPRINGS!

What makes the Hot Springs At Goose Creek Retreat so special is that there are three separate accommodations on the property, and each has access to its own private natural hot spring.
That means you’re not sharing a soaking pool with a bunch of strangers or waiting for other guests to leave. You can soak whenever you want! The pools are naturally heated, with temperatures that can range up to around 104°F. And because they’re private to each rental, you really get to enjoy the experience at your own pace.
I personally loved being able to hop in whenever I felt like it. If you’re someone who loves Idaho’s natural hot springs but isn’t always a fan of the crowds, this is such a fun alternative.
One thing to know is that the hot springs aren’t directly outside your cabin. There’s a short little hike through the woods to reach them, which honestly made the whole experience even more special! It felt like I was walking to my own secret hot spring in the middle of the forest.
The trail takes about 5–10 minutes depending on which rental you’re staying in, so you’ll want to bring some good shoes (and maybe a robe for the walk back!). It’s a natural trail with some uneven ground so you’ll want to come prepared.

Where to Stay at the Hot Springs At Goose Creek Retreat
One of my favorite things about this property is that you can book one accommodation for a smaller getaway or rent multiple spaces if you’re traveling with a group. There are three individual rental spaces: The Lodge, The Nest Apartment, and the Tiny Cottage Retreat.
1. The Lodge – Sleeps Up to 10
3 bedrooms | 2 bathrooms | Sleeps 10
This is where I stayed during my solo retreat! The Lodge is the main house on the property and is perfect for families, larger groups, or a girls weekend. It’s a spacious mountain cabin with a fireplace, plenty of room to hang out, and, of course, its own private natural hot spring. I loved having this entire space to myself for a few days. It was such a treat to wake up without an agenda, make myself comfortable, and spend as much time outside as possible.
There’s also a fire pit and BBQ area, which would be so fun if you were visiting with friends or family. I could easily picture a group of girlfriends spending the weekend here, cooking meals together, hanging out by the fire, and rotating between the hot spring and cozy cabin time.

2. The Nest Apartment – Sleeps Up to 4
1 bedroom | 1 bathroom | Sleeps 4
The Nest is an apartment connected to the main Lodge, but it can also be booked separately. This would be a great option for a couple, a small family, or a few friends who want the hot springs experience without needing an entire house. And yes, it has its own private natural hot spring, too!
You can also book The Lodge and The Nest together, which gives you four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and space for up to 14 people. I love this option for multigenerational family trips or groups where some people might want a little more privacy.

3. The Tiny Cottage Retreat – Sleeps Up to 4
1 bedroom | 1 bathroom | Sleeps 4
If you’re looking for a cozy couples getaway near McCall, the Tiny Cottage Retreat would be such a fun option. This is the smaller, standalone accommodation on the property, surrounded by forest and mountain scenery.
It’s perfect for a romantic weekend, a little anniversary trip, or even a solo getaway like mine. And just like the other accommodations, the cottage has its own private natural hot spring. Honestly, I think this would be such a dreamy place to visit in the winter when everything is covered in snow!

Want to Rent the Entire Property?
You can also book the Mountain Hot Springs Estate, which combines all three accommodations. With five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and room for up to 18 guests, this would be an amazing spot for a family reunion, birthday weekend, friends trip, or small retreat. Your group would have access to all three private hot springs!

An Off-Grid Mountain Retreat Powered by Solar Energy
Another really cool thing about the Hot Springs At Goose Creek Retreat is that it’s an off-grid property powered by solar energy. I love finding unique accommodations that make the most of their natural surroundings, and this one definitely does. Even though you’re staying on a secluded property surrounded by forest, the rentals still offer modern conveniences, including internet access. You get the experience of escaping into nature without having to completely rough it.
Plus, the property has fire pits, BBQ areas, forest views, and access to Goose Creek.
I think that’s what makes this place so special. You don’t necessarily need a packed itinerary because the property itself is the experience.

Is the Hot Springs At Goose Creek Retreat Worth It?
If you’re looking for a unique place to stay near McCall, I would absolutely recommend checking it out. I’ve stayed at some pretty amazing places around Idaho, and having access to my own private natural hot spring was definitely what made this experience stand out.
I loved the secluded setting, the creek running through the property, and the flexibility to book a smaller rental or bring a whole group. It’s also a great year-round getaway. You can enjoy the mountains and Payette Lake in the summer, beautiful scenery in the fall, and skiing and snowy hot spring soaks in the winter.
