6 – THE LIVELY

Upon stepping into the Lively, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a hip, big city. I love the decor, cocktails, and food. The ambiance is what I love the most about this place; it screams romance, but their food is equally as good! My favorite thing on the menu is, hands down, the meatballs. You can either make a dinner reservation for the upstairs portion of the restaurant or sit downstairs for a drink without a reservation (they also serve the full menu down here). They also have an events speakeasy room at the back called Bar 40.

7 – RED FEATHER LOUNGE

Red Feather is connected to it’s sister restaurant, Bittercreek Bar and Grill, but RedFeather has a romantic vibe all it’s own. Request to sit upstairs for more of a quiet romantic feel, or sit downstairs to be part of the action at the bar and enjoy some great appetizers and main dishes. Their location in downtown Boise on 8th street can’t be beat!

8 – LITTLE PEARL OYSTER BAR

Little Pearl is one of Boise’s only true oyster bars and is owned by one of Boise’s only Michelin-star chefs! Inside you’ll find a modern, cozy dining area and outside a small patio that looks out on the popular 8th Street. They have a great selection of beer and wine options, along with a great oyster selection. The seafood chowder is wonderful, and so is the chocolate pot de creme! This is the perfect romantic night out!

9 – WYLDER

Wylder is a little more of a “hoppin” restaurant but still has a romantic buzz to it. Try their mushroom toast or honey badger pizza for a nice twist on a classic pie. Stay for their cocktails and enjoy a romantic dinner for two.

10 – COA DE JIMA

Coa de Jima is a great newer spot on 6th Street in downtown Boise, owned by the same people that own Barbacoa (another fun and great romantic option)! They have Latin-inspired food and great cocktails in a cozy and beautifully decorated atmosphere! I recommend reserving a table because it can get busy on weeknights and weekends.

12 – ALYONKA RUSSIAN CUISINE

Alyonka’s is one of my favorite restaurants in Boise. It’s small and would be perfect for a romantic date night! The Russian food is homemade, and it is to die for. If you want to step outside of the traditional American fare for date night, do yourself a favor and try this spot!
